FESTIVE WINDOWS FILL DUSTON STREES WITH JOY

As a long-running tradition, Duston, Northampton, asks the community to decorate their windows for the festive season.

29th December 2020

This year, despite the circumstances, people still came out in full force to deliver their versions of a Christmas 'Festive Windows'

A wide range of businesses participated throughout the village; from Number 50 café to Perkins Florist.

In previous years, all Duston business received a letter that was part of a Christmas slogan. This had to be scaled down this year because a lot of the shops were shut until December 3rd.

This year, Duston Parish Council asked business to participate and then scaled it out further to houses around the village.

Sarah Percival, Community Events Officer for Duston Parish Council said: “We wanted to do this to make everyone cheerful. We feel driving around Duston, it was clear that people had definitely got on board with that.”

Let’s take a look at a few and see how Duston made their community look so festive.
