NORTHAMPTONSHIRE MOVES UP INTO TIER 3

Northamptonshire is moving up into tier 3 as of tomorrow (26th December at 00:01).
Health Secretary Matt Handcock made the announcement yesterday (23rd December).
Residents living in Northamptonshire are only allowed to see people in a public place like a park.
Northamptonshire was the lowest tier before the second lockdown. After the second lockdown the county got moved up to tier 2.
After a recent spike in cases across the UK and within the county many places have been moved up to the next tier.
The new rules that residents need to follow are:

Bars, pubs and restaurants are closed apart from the sales of takeaway, drive-though or delivery.

Retail remains open.

Everyone should work from home if they can.

Education remains open and childcare bubbles are permitted.

Indoor leisure remains open also, but group activities should not take place.

Personal care is allowed to remain open also.

Overnight stays are advised against apart from with your support bubble
-
You are advised to avoid traveling outside your area apart from where necessary such as for work or education
The Government advises that the next formal review regarding the tiering system will take place on 30th December.
